Ingráfica is weaving a collaborative network extending to other parts of the world. Our second edition travels beyond Cuenca with the Instituto Cervantes, presenting the festival at its centres in cities such as Belgrade, Beijing, Vienna and Berlin.
One of the most important events in international graphic arts is the International Print Triennial Krakow. Together with Künstlerhaus Wien (Austria), Horst-Jannsen Museum Oldenburg (Germany) and Arsgrafia Katowice (Poland), Cuenca is to become a new base for the Polish triennial. A selection of works from 2009 will be exhibited at Ingráfica 2010 in an important new professional and artistic exchange for the spanish graphic art. Ingráfica is also going virtual. Its portal, ingrafica.org, is evolving in this year’s edition to incorporate audiovisual resources, becoming a meeting point and virtual extension of the events in Cuenca. Looking inwards, continuously perfecting the festival and the way we work, is as important to us as moving outwards. To this end, the Cuenca-based Observatorio de Políticas Culturales, Castilla-La Mancha University, will be carrying out a rigorous study during the festival of its functioning in the city; a sociological analysis of the event and a summary of its working. |
