Ingráfica. International Contemporary Art Print Festival of the City of Cuenca is a private initiative promoted by the Cuenca City Council and supported by the City Consortium. Ingráfica was conceived in 2008 with the idea of creating a non-commercial meeting space for graphic and serialized art in Spain. Following an extremely successful first edition, Ingráfica 09 will take place from November 6th to December 13th 2009 in Cuenca, which aspires to become the European Capital of Culture in 2016.

In this edition, we continue to aspire to make Ingráfica an international platform for supporting the creation, promotion and dissemination of graphic and serialized contemporary art. The festival is establishing itself as a space for professional encounter and reflection in the printing and etching field, and a place to encourage public understanding and enjoyment of its disciplines.

More then 70 national and international artists will be exhibiting their work in Cuenca’s most significant cultural and exhibition spaces in November and December 2009. For six weeks, Cuenca will again become the main point in Spain for graphic and other forms of serialized art. Presentations and guided itineraries will complement the many exhibitions to make the event a meeting point, in an exceptional setting, for lovers and professionals of contemporary art.

Ingráfica is a project designed and organized by Hablar en Arte a non-profit cultural association dedicated to the promotion, development, investigation, protection and dissemination of activities related to visual, performative and audiovisual art.
